Directs the activities of a recognized manufacturing support department. Makes sure production schedules and quality standards are met. Responsible for safety of all employees in department. Administers company policies to department. Assist in hiring process for department. Responsible for succession planning for department. Planning for adding additional production lines and plant expansion.

:Establish and ensure department goals are met or exceeded
Key Duties and Responsibilities
:Oversee and ensure safety of team
:Oversee production schedule and quality standards of the department
:Administer company policy
:Supervise employees : train employees, update records, write and present employee evaluations, assist in hiring for department, set goals and track progress of department
:Responsible for continuous Improvement and cost control (reduction) of the group : Scrap and rework improvements, control cost of manufacturing process, prepare material and present monthly meetings, work with vendors for improvements
:Strategic/Long Term Planning / Justify new equipment purchases for department

:Strong Leadership ability

:Ability to work with different departments and groups with varied levels of technical background

Education / Training Required
:High school diploma or GED
:3 years in supervisor position
:Basic Supervisory Training
