The Manager IV, Loan Operations is responsible for management of multiple departments/functions. Requires knowledge of consumer/commercial loan documentation, preparation of credit documentation and a high degree of understanding of credit loans and loan regulatory compliance. Ensures risk is controlled through adherence to regulatory, investor, internal/external policies and procedures and vendor management review. Responsible for reporting departments' initiatives, objectives, adherence to policies and regulatory compliance. Works with Credit Administration, Finance, and the Lines of Business. Reviews, works with, and supervises mangers and department personnel. Works on multiple task forces.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
:Identifies, develops, recommends, and implements operational standards. Provides guidelines and provides performance feedback; audit commentaries and ensures minimal losses. Ensures work procedures are consistent and in compliance with applicable policies/regulations. Works directly with IS, Business Analysts, Compliance Management and Finance Management.
:Defines department objectives; develops operating plan; plans and administers budgets; identifies savings and efficiencies; prepares management reports, expense reports, budget variances, operational statistics and quality reports.
: Establishes working relationships with managers, regulators, and auditors. Reviews, researches, and analyzes effects of governmental regulations.
:Manages departmental activity via first line supervisors; determines work priorities; recommends additions to staff; exercises usual authority of a manager concerning performance appraisal, salary recommendations, discipline, counseling, incentives and terminations.
:Assumes responsibility for department operations; researches and resolves problems. Assures resolution of problems by working directly with Business Analysts. Oversees areas of identified risk and maintains appropriate review processes.
:Directs study and establishment of systems, procedures, methods, and forms. Participates as a Loan Operations representative in M and A and conversions; serves on committees; participates in collaborative study, RFPs and design of new products.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
:Extensive knowledge of HMDA, TILA, RESPA, FCRA, SCRA, UDAAP and other regulations
:Extensive knowledge of production management, operations and delivery systems, and applicable regulations
:Extensive knowledge of loan operations and workflow efficiency
:Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, reporting requirements and reconciliation processes; General Accepted Accounting Practices, (GAAP)
:Excellent ability to collaborate with business partners in a productive and creative manner
