This role is part of a team of Lean Six Sigma trained professionals responsible for execution of process improvement projects and the execution and continuous improvement of the Williams Lean / Six Sigma framework, road map, tools, practices and culture. A special focus of this position includes Lean / Six Sigma curriculum development, as well as training, certification and coaching of employees and leaders across the enterprise to drive improved business results.
As a part of this team, the successful candidate will utilize project management, process improvement and facilitation skills to effectively execute projects and training to enable the progression of Lean throughout Williams. Project execution includes supporting team members and leading cross functional process optimization efforts with an emphasis on operational improvements. Training will include delivering and coaching team members on delivery of classes, including Leading with Lean, Sponsor, Gemba Walk, Facilitating Rapid Improvement Events, Lean Practitioner, and Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt. Coaching and mentoring will support Williams Leaders, certification candidates, and other coaches and mentors. Contribution to the development and growth of a Williams community of practice to further the Lean mentality across the Enterprise. Design and publish metrics and benchmarks to enable measurement of the Enterprise's Lean maturity, identify and track improvement opportunities, and organizational successes to measure the impact of our work on the Enterprise.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
:Collaborate with operational and functional area management and team members to identify and prioritize process improvement and training needs.
:Lead and support implementation of quality improvement processes and initiatives including business requirements, process design, analysis, and change management
:Facilitate development of quality goals, performance metrics, and action plans with teams
:Conduct analysis of performance gaps as requested by project teams or corporate functional groups to determine contributing factors and actions to streamline and prevent future defects
:Develop and maintain a training catalog and curriculum for Lean Six Sigma education
:Deliver training across the enterprise
:Award certifications within the Williams program, including Lean Practitioner and Green and Black Belts
:Develop and deliver a coaching and mentoring program for Green and Black belts
:Develop metrics and scorecards to measure the program's progress
:Define and facilitate Williams' Lean Six Sigma community of practice
:Domestic travel as needed to perform duties as described
Qualifications and Experience:
:Bachelor's degree required with preference for engineering, business/accounting, IT, or other technical field
:10+ years of process improvement and training experience required
:Demonstrated project execution, facilitation, and training skills
:Lean Six:Sigma Master Black Belt or Black Belt Certification is required, successful completion of the Air Academy Associates Train the Trainer Master Black Belt course is preferred
